Aware of the consequences of air pollution and global warming, the municipality of Odunpazarı made a first in Turkey by anticipating the existing danger and prepared a map of the carbon emission amount of the Odunpazarı region in 2016. At the end of the studies, carbon emission maps were prepared according to “electricity consumption”, “natural gas consumption” and “electricity and Natural Gas (total)” for 2016. Disinfection studies: disinfection studies have been carried out with great care since March 11, when the first case of coronavirus was observed in Turkey. Family health centers, especially all public institutions and organizations, as well as kindergartens and mosques continue to work on disinfection. More than 50 tons of disinfection solutions were used in disinfection studies that lasted until late at night. Odunpazarı Municipality continues disinfection and cleaning works 24/7, including quarantined households and buildings.
