Halk Market, the model of social assistance of Odunpazarı Municipality in Turkey, was opened on October 17, 2015, which is the ‘Anti-Poverty day’. From the day it opened to the present day, 2 million 465 thousand 597 TL in aid of the Halk Market, 1707 families rushed to the aid. In the Halk Market, which was selected as the "Best Social Project" in the competition held by the Social Democratic Union of Municipalities (SODEM) in 2018, food, cleaning, clothing and fuel items given as donations to the municipality are stored in conditions appropriate to their qualifications, ensuring the benefit of the needy.
