ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT BY ODUNPAZARI MUNICIPALITY IN THE PANDEMIC PROCESS

Rural Services Directorate received 1 ton 200 liters of concentrated disinfection solution. (The diluted
version makes 120 thousand liters.) 720 liters of the received solution (72 thousand liters in diluted
form) were used. Eskisehir Barbers and Hairdressers Artisan Chamber (ESKUBER) 200 liters of
concentrated ( 20 thousand liters in diluted form) disinfection solution was given to be distributed to
hairdressers and barbers. Calling people over the age of 65 who stayed at home, giving information
about the corona virus and ways to protect them, taking note of their requests and reporting them to
the relevant units. The relevant units also fulfilled all requests as soon as possible. (This service no
longer continues.)



Provincial Directorate Of Health  
Cleaning personnel were trained to fight with the corona virus.

Directorate Of Cleaning Works 
7/24 work is in progress. Streets and alleys against Kovid-19 are being demolished. Garbage is
collected regularly and containers are washed away.



Rural Directorate
Our municipality units, shelters, nursing homes, Family Health Centers, PTT all branches of military
facilities, prisons, police stations, schools, mosques, djemevi, police, gendarmerie, and funeral cars, in
public institutions is conducting studies, including disinfection. Quarantined blocks of apartments and
sites are regularly disinfected. It is disinfected in apartments and residences where citizens in need
and with special conditions live. All streets, streets and parks in the Odunpazarı region are medicated
2 times a week. In addition, living animals are regularly fed.

SOUP KITCHEN
Odunpazarı Municipality Soup Kitchen provides 2 meals (lunch-evening) every day to hundreds of
citizens (about 800) and hundreds of low income families and disadvantaged over 65 years of age
living in the region. Between March June 11 and June 01, hot food was delivered to these people by a
soup kitchen. After June 1, the old system was returned. The needy come to The Soup Kitchen and
get their food. On days of street restrictions, meals are taken to the homes of those in need by Soup
Kitchen officials. In addition, 2 meals are delivered every day to families who are under quarantine and
request from our soup kitchen. In addition to hot food, The Soup Kitchen delivers monthly parcels of
supplies to thousands of needy people. During the pandemic, our tradesmen were negatively affected.
100 rations packages were given to Eskişehir restaurateurs  room to be given to the owner or
employees of the restaurant, cafe and restaurant in need.



HALK MARKET
About 800 households (about 3200 people) per year benefit from the Halk market, which provides
assistance to the needy citizens over 2 million 465 thousand 597 Turkish lira in the period from
October 17, 2015 to the present day.



Directorate of Women and Family Services

SOBE
We continued to provide services to people in need over the age of 60 until November, when the
number of coronavirus cases began to increase. 1038 people were served between March November
11 and November 01.



HOME BATHROOM SERVICE

We continued to provide services to our elderly, disabled and sick citizens in need until November,
when the number of coronavirus cases began to increase. Between March November 11 and
November 01, 644 people were served.



*Psychologist (psycho-therapy and violence against women) violence against women also
increased during peoples stay in their homes. Odunpazarı Municipality provides free counseling(online and face-to-face) services to women who have suffered violence.

*For students who will enter LGS and YKS, our expert psychologists provided online counseling services on exam anxiety.

*Our psychologist affiliated with our Directorate of Women and Family Services continues to provide psychological support on online and face-to-face child counseling, adolescent counseling, family therapy, exam anxiety, stress coping, addiction and adaptation problems. In accordance with the circular of the Police Department, marketplaces, open workplaces, enclosed
workplaces, bakeries, grocery stores and the issuance of the necessary penalties for those who do not
comply with the rules. In Sunday places, temperature measurement and mask distributions are made,
warnings are made to citizens and tradesmen to comply with social distance. Inspections carried out
by providing personnel support in accordance with requests from both the governorship and the
prefect.



Educational Support

*Odunpazarı Municipality, Covid-19 (Coronavirus) epidemic due to living difficulties in education and various studies have started to support students. First of all, computers located in public and youth centers were opened to students for students who had problems accessing the internet and computers. (This service was discontinued as the number of coronavirus cases increased)

*Odunpazarı Municipality signed a protocol with Yen Yol Schools on 10.09.2020. According to the signed protocol, distance education videos and trial exams are given to 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students determined by Odunpazarı youth centers by Yeni Yol Personal Development Courses. Again, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students determined by Odunpazarı youth centers are allowed to benefit from the application of Yeni Yol Special Education Courses. In addition, Yeni Yol Schools with Odunpazarı Municipality will carry out joint work in International Baccalaureate Projects.



*This work, which was carried out together with Yeni Yol Schools, was also highly appreciated by the district municipalities. This work was moved from Odunpazarı to 5 more districts. Activity codes were also sent to needy students living in Alpu, Han, Mahmudiye, Mihalıççık and Seyitgazi.

*The protocol was signed between Yeni Çizgi College Schools and Odunpazarı Municipality on 6.10.2020. According to the signed protocol, lecture notes prepared by Yeni Çizgi College Schools for 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades were shared with students at the youth and community centers of Odunpazarı Municipality. In addition, students who wish to participate in the trial exams, which will be held face-to-face in the halls of the Yeni Çizgi College Schools. Yeni Çizgi College Schools gave a resource book to the municipality of odunpazarı to give it to students who succeeded in the exams. Students were also given the opportunity to attend courses online in Zoom for English lessons. In addition, guidance teachers provide training for students and parents online, such as coping with classroom anxiety, effective learning techniques. Students who do not have access to computers and the internet can attend EBA and course classes at Yeni Çizgi College Schools , which are reserved for students.

*Online training programs were organized in cooperation with Community Centers of Odunpazarı Municipality and Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation (TEGV). So far, 100 children have been enrolled in the online education program. While programming according to children's free days and hours, children went through an educational process filled with play, exploration, experience and sharing. Children participating in the online education program refresh their knowledge and enjoy active learning methods and games.

*Odunpazarı Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Directorate and Özel Şehir Educational Institutions started a social responsibility project. As part of the project, Özel Şehir Educational Institutions gave a total of 90 access codes at 30 primary, 30 secondary and 30 high school levels to the Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs for the online english language education platform of Oxford University Press. These codes will be given to students who participate in the studies carried out so far by the municipality of Odunpazarı and want to learn English.

  *Concerts and interviews were held with the presentation of President Kazim Kurt via Instagram with the participation of names such as Erdal Erzincan, Tolga Sagittarius, Mazlum Çimen, Niyazi Koyuncu, Selçuk Balci, Ataol Behramoğlu, Sinan Kaycı (pinhani soloist).

*The tourist areas, museums and some parks of the municipality of Odunpazarı were provided for citizens to visit online through social media.

*For those whose psychology deteriorated during the pandemic, videos taken with psychologists were shared from social media and youtube accounts.

*From social media and youtube accounts, various activities and activities (chess, güllaç recipe, castle construction with toilet paper roll, robot construction from empty boxes, etc.) for everyone staying at home to spend time.) videos released.

*Our Directorate of Media and Public Relations and Culture and Social Affairs jointly prepares online concerts. Later, these concerts are shared from our social media accounts.

*Courses, which are held at OMEK, have been moved online environment. Courses organized by the Directorate of social assistance affairs are taken and published on the YouTube and social media accounts of our municipality by the Directorate of press and Public Relations.

*Our Directorate of Culture and Social Affairs organizes the creative drama work “I have art in mysuitcase” online, which we previously conducted in our gallery with contemporary art and attended bychildren aged 9-14.

*April 23 National Sovereignty and Childrens Day and May 19 Atatürk Memorial Youth and SportsDay on could not be celebrated in the squares due to the pandemic, the open-top bus with a band accompanied by the streets of Odunpazarı to live the festive enthusiasm of the public.

*Our Directorate of culture and Social Affairs organized a story and painting competition in which children between the ages of 9-14 participated due to the 97th year of the foundation of our Republic.
